Krul, a 39-year-old goalkeeper, is not yet done with his adventurous career. He will play for VVSB in the Derde Divisie, marking his 22nd club. VoetbalPrimeur reports that Krul has had an illustrious career, starting in the youth academy of FC Utrecht and eventually joining the first team, but never receiving official minutes. He was loaned out to Telstar, Sparta Rotterdam, and AGOVV before becoming a free agent and deciding to explore further afield.
Krul's journey has taken him to six continents, with his first step outside of Europe being a stint with Valletta FC in Malta. He later played for Boyacá Chicó in Colombia, marking his first appearance outside of Europe. Since then, he has played for numerous clubs across the globe, including Jong FC Groningen, Bayamón (Puerto Rico), KV Turnhout (Belgium), SC Cambuur, Iwaki FC (Japan), Spakenburg, Preston Lions (Australia), Jong Ajax, Alemannia Aachen (Germany), Jong AZ, Katwijk, Glacis United (Gibraltar), AJEL Rufisque (Senegal), and Laranja (Brazil).
Krul's next move will be to VVSB in the Derde Divisie, where he will continue his adventurous career.
