"If you want to face one of the bigger teams in the Eredivisie, then give me FC Utrecht," he said. "And I'm saying upfront that we're not hopeless." De Nooijer's statement was made in response to FC Utrecht's mediocre start to the season, with the team currently sitting in 15th place in the Eredivisie.
Marko Maletic, a striker for Kozakken Boys and currently a trainer for FC Utrecht's U17 team, has also expressed his support for his old club. "This is a dream draw for me," he said. "I've already received messages from colleagues at the club. And for Kozakken Boys, it's a great opportunity, as they can expect a full house."
FC Utrecht will visit Kozakken Boys on either Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28, or Thursday 29 October. The exact date will be announced by the KNVB at a later time.
