Ki-Jana Hoever has signed a multi-year contract with Sparta Praag, the record champions of the Czech Republic. The 24-year-old right-back from Amsterdam has played for several clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, PSV, Stoke City, AJ Auxerre and Sheffield United. Voetbalzone reports that Hoever has played for the youth teams of Ajax and Liverpool, and made his professional debut for Liverpool.
Sparta Praag is the latest club in Hoever's list of previous teams, with the right-back set to play under former Feyenoord coach Brian Priske. Sportief directeur Tomas Rosicky welcomed Hoever to the club, highlighting his experience in the French Ligue 1 and English Championship. Rosicky also praised Hoever's technical ability, speed, strength and willingness to play offensively.
Hoever has represented the Netherlands in numerous youth internationals, but may also choose to play for Suriname in the future.
