Keny Arroyo, the 25-year-old Equadorian forward, has had a personal physical trainer since his arrival in Brazil in September last year. This was revealed by Globo Esporte Futebol. Arroyo was called up by Marcelo Gallardo for an amistoso against South Korea.
Arroyo's team has grown to include a multidisciplinary staff, including a psychologist, a nutritionist, a physiotherapist, and a personal trainer, as well as a performance analysis team that provides information to Arroyo before and after each game.
Arroyo's team is now led by Marquito Maciel, his agent, who explains that his role is to understand what each athlete needs and bring the right professionals around them. "Keny has talent and ambition, our work is to help him develop all that potential," Maciel said.
Arroyo has been a key player for Cruzeiro this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 14 games, despite suffering a muscle injury during the Copa do Mundo break. His recent form has helped him achieve his goal of returning to the Equadorian national team, for which he was called up for an amistoso against South Korea last week, after two years of absence.
