Kaio César, a 22-year-old attacker formed by Coritiba, will face his former club on Sunday. He has earned R$ 36 million since leaving for Europe. Kaio César was revealed by Coritiba and is currently playing for Corinthians. He returns to Couto Pereira to reencounter the club that marked the beginning of his career and people who participated in his formation at Alto da Glória.

Kaio César was approved after two weeks of tests at Coritiba. He was part of the Coritiba team that won the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 in 2021 and the Paranaense Sub-20 in 2022. Kaio César participated in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2022 and scored two goals. He has been using the number 37 since his debut for Coritiba in 2023 and scored his first goal as a professional in the same year.

Kaio César left Coritiba on loan for Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal. Vitória de Guimarães exercised the option to buy Kaio César for 1.5 million euros. Coritiba maintained 40% of Kaio César's economic rights. Al-Hilal bought Kaio César for 10 million euros in 2025. Coritiba received 4 million euros from the deal, making the total amount earned by Coritiba around R$ 36.4 million.

Kaio César played for Vitória de Guimarães and scored four goals and eight assists in 33 games. He played for Al-Hilal and scored in the Copa do Mundo de Clubes in 2025. Kaio César wore the Coritiba jersey to celebrate Al-Hilal's victory over Manchester City. Kaio César has maintained a relationship with Coritiba despite playing for other teams. He will face Coritiba on Sunday at 19h30 (Brasília time) at Couto Pereira, in the 24th round of the Série A.
