Johan Derksen, a close friend of John de Bever and Kees Stevens, has been tasked with elevating De Bevers to a higher level in the film as a manager. He wants to make John de Bever the new Tom Jones, according to an interview with De Telegraaf. Derksen found the initial script too friendly and altered a line to make it more in his style.
Derksen previously played a small role in the film Opa Cor two years ago. He has now appeared in the De Bevers film, but has no plans to pursue acting further. In an interview, he stated that the film industry is easier than television, but he has no interest in continuing to act.
