Jair and Bontempo, who lived together in Santos when they were 10 years old, have a strong bond that has been strengthened by their current situation. According to Jair, "Morei com o Bontempo no primeiro ano pelo Santos. Meus pais não tinham condição de se mudar e isso me ajudou muito." (I lived with Bontempo in my first year at Santos. My parents didn't have the condition to move and that helped me a lot.)
Their friendship began when they were both part of the Santos youth team, and they have remained close even after Jair was sold to Botafogo in 2025. Now, they are both part of the Seleção squad, aiming to help the team achieve its goals in the lead-up to the 2030 Copa.
