Football Italia report that Dimarco has been replaced by Aston Villa's Matteo Ruggeri. The FIGC has confirmed that Dimarco reported to Coverciano, but will now return home after undergoing a round of physical check-ups.
Dimarco's withdrawal is the second alteration to the squad, following Roma's Bryan Cristante dropping out due to a physical issue and being replaced by Como's Samuele Ricci. Mancini has also handed first call-ups to nine new players, including Michael Kayode, Antonio Vergara, Alessandro Romano, Issa Doumbia and Mohamed Ali Zoma.
The Italy national team squad will now face Belgium on September 25, followed by fixtures against Turkiye on September 28, France on October 2, and Turkiye again on October 5.
