Ipswich Town have made another significant signing, with the club confirming the arrival of midfielder Abdoul Ouattara from Strasbourg. The 20-year-old Ivorian joins on a five-year contract, reuniting with manager Gary O'Neil, who was in charge of the Ligue 1 club last season.

Ouattara made 45 appearances for Strasbourg in the French top flight and was part of the side that reached the Uefa Conference League semi-finals last season. The young midfielder has expressed his excitement about joining Ipswich, stating his enthusiasm for playing in the Premier League.

Manager Gary O'Neil has welcomed the signing, highlighting Ouattara's versatility and talent. Ipswich begin their Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on 22 August, with Ouattara set to be a key player in the team. This move marks the 11th major signing for Ipswich since securing promotion from the Championship last season, with the club spending a total of £124m.
