La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter is searching for a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who left for Real Madrid this summer. Tottenham Hotspur's Djed Spence is said to be a target for the Italian club. Spence broke through in the 2019/20 season at Middlesbrough and had a successful loan period at Nottingham Forest. He played 35 games for Tottenham Hotspur in the 2024/25 season, which ended with the team winning the Europa League. In the last season, Spence played 44 games for Tottenham and was selected for the English World Cup team.

Spence has also had loan periods at Stade Rennes and Leeds United, but these did not bring him much success. His loan contract at Leeds United was terminated mid-season. However, upon his return to London, he found a new lease on life and has since become a key player for Tottenham. Tottenham Hotspur wants 40 million euros for Djed Spence, but is willing to sell him for 35 million euros.
