Heracles Almelo had a chance to win the period title last Friday, but a 2-2 draw against Helmond Sport meant they missed out. They now have another opportunity to secure the title on Friday night, when they face RKC Waalwijk. A draw would be enough for Heracles to win the first period title of the season.
Heilmann has stressed that the period title is not the main goal, with promotion to the Eredivisie being the bigger objective. The top two teams in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie will automatically be promoted to the Eredivisie.
Heilmann has also looked ahead to the upcoming match against RKC, comparing their defensive style to that of Almere City, who Heracles previously drew with 1-0. Heilmann has also hinted that there will be few changes to the team's lineup, with a focus on selecting the right type of players.
