The Fédération française de football (FFF) has maintained its stance, with its Comex committee voting unanimously to uphold the exclusion of Bordeaux from national championships. The club remains in Regional 1. According to the FFF, a legal advisor from the cabinet d'avocats Gide stated that there was no secure route in the federation's regulations to reopen the case.
The FFF has also pointed out that it has respected the federation's regulations and upheld the decisions made in the context of the appeals filed by Bordeaux's management. The conciliator of the Comité national olympique du sport français (CNOSF) and the Tribunal administratif have both ruled that there was no reason to re-examine the case, as no buyer was present at the DNCG appeal hearing on July 15 and no promised funds were available.
The FFF has stated that it does not currently have any detailed plan for the club's takeover, describing the documents provided by the new owners as "light". The federation has also reminded everyone that "many lies have been told in this case". The future of Girondins de Bordeaux now looks increasingly bleak, with liquidation becoming a more likely possibility. It is now up to the Ligue de Nouvelle-Aquitaine to take over the case.
