The project, which will be supported by a charity auction, aims to raise funds for various areas of the club, including the support of former players who are struggling financially. According to Globo Esporte Futebol, two former players who will benefit from the project are Paulo Henrique, who played in the 1966 World Cup, and Ubirajara Alcântara, who holds a Guinness World Record for scoring the first own goal in football history.
The charity auction will be held in two stages, with the first digital stage open to all fans, who can contribute R$ 50 and receive a digital certificate or participate in the live event on October 30 at the Maracanã stadium. The live event will feature the auction of the names of the new busts of Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique, as well as other special items. The funds raised will also be used to support the "Jogaremos Juntos" project, which aims to expand its national reach.
