According to a statement from the Flamengo, the popular vote for the Manto da Nação campaign is now open and will run until 30 August. The campaign, which received over 8,000 designs from fans across Brazil, aims to create a special jersey for the team. A team of curators selected the final 10 designs, which are now available for voting on the website mantodanacao.flamengo.com.br.
The 10 finalists are Adam Costa, Alison Douglas, Antonio Rodrigues, Bruno Gondim, Daniel Barbosa, Luiz Gomes, Marcelo Gluz, Marcos Junior, Stephany Dalzisa, and Vitor Ferrara. Each design represents a unique aspect of the Flamengo's identity, such as the "É Urubu" design, which tells the story of a provocative gesture that has become part of the team's identity. The "Urubu Rei" design translates the essence of the Flamengo and is inspired by the symbol of strength, protection, and dominance.
The winning design will be manufactured by the Flamengo, and the author will receive a prize of R$ 10,000 and a jersey with their own design. The other nine finalists will also be presented with a unit of the winning edition. The limited edition will be available for purchase for only one week.
