The UEFA's disciplinary committee found that Feyenoord's supporters were guilty of racist and/or discriminatory behavior, threw objects, made a message that does not belong to a sports event, and discredited the UEFA. As a result, the club will have to pay a total of 74,375 euros in fines, with the majority of the amount (25,000 euros) being due to racist behavior and 26,375 euros for throwing objects. Feyenoord is also required to contact Barcelona within 30 days to compensate for the damage caused to the visiting supporters' stand in Camp Nou.
The UEFA has also imposed a conditional reduction of 25% of visiting tickets for Feyenoord, with a two-year probation period. This decision is not the first time that Feyenoord's supporters have faced consequences for their behavior in European competitions. Last season, a part of De Kuip was closed due to fireworks being set off during the home match against Panathinaikos in the Europa League, resulting in a 60,000-euro fine for the club. In the Eredivisie, Feyenoord's supporters also caused problems during the match against SC Cambuur, with fireworks landing in another stand and on the pitch.
Feyenoord has stated that the 25,000-euro fine for discriminatory behavior can be attributed to the actions of two supporters, which were visible in a video on social media. One of the two individuals has been identified and banned from attending stadium matches. The club will report him to the Dutch football association for a national stadium ban.
