Ferran Torres, 26, has not returned to training with Barcelona this week, as expected, following the team's World Cup victory. According to Globo Esporte Futebol, the Barcelona board has given their approval for the transfer negotiations with PSG to proceed. The Catalan club is said to be in the final stages of talks with the French side.

The deal is expected to be finalised within the next two days, but it's unlikely to be announced today as PSG has a European Super Cup match against Aston Villa in Salzburgo, Austria, at 16:00 Brasília time. Barcelona initially rejected PSG's first offer of €40 million, but it's believed that the final figure could reach €50 million. Ferran Torres is in the final year of his contract and can leave the club without a transfer fee in June 2027.

Ferran Torres has been a key player for Barcelona since joining the club in December 2021, scoring 65 goals and providing 22 assists in 207 appearances. He is also a historic player for the Spanish national team, having scored the winning goal in the World Cup final against Argentina.
