Thiago Almada received a one-match ban and a $30,000 fine, while Gavi was given a one-match ban and the same fine. Roberto Ayala, a member of Argentina's coaching staff, was banned for three matches and fined $30,000. The Argentinian football association has been fined $321,000 for displaying a Falkland Islands banner at the end of the England game. The fine also covered breaches of Fifa's anti-discrimination regulations at other World Cup matches.
