Northern Section Draw
The northern section of the draw has seen some interesting pairings, with Nottingham Forest set to host Leeds in the only all-Premier League tie in the second round. This will be a repeat of their opening Premier League game on 22 August. David Moyes will return to Deepdale as Everton visit Preston North End, where he began his managerial career. Newcastle will take on second-tier West Brom, while Fulham will play AFC Wimbledon at Craven Cottage.
Southern Section Draw
In the southern section, Chelsea will welcome League One Luton to Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham will host Championship side Charlton. West Ham, who beat Portsmouth in Saturday's first round, will travel to fellow Championship side Southampton. Brentford have a potentially tricky away trip to Birmingham City, while Ipswich will play League One Leicester.

Fixture Changes
The opponents of Fulham and Chelsea - Wimbledon and Luton respectively - were scheduled to be in League One action on the Saturday after the cup ties. The two games involving those teams have had to be moved to the Sunday. Additionally, a full programme of League One games the following Tuesday, 1 September, forced another four games to move back 24 hours to the Wednesday. This has resulted in six EFL games, and eight teams, having to move games at short notice due to the Premier League game scheduled on the Monday night.
