Brest Share Spoils with Venice in Pre-Season Friendly
L'Équipe Football reports that the Stade Brestois have drawn 2-2 with Venice in their fifth pre-season friendly match. The match saw a thrilling comeback from Brest, who were trailing 2-1 before Ludovic Ajorque scored the equalising goal in the 88th minute.
The match began with Brest taking the lead through Kamory Doumbia, who scored in the 8th minute. However, Venice gradually took control of the game and equalised in the 35th minute. Toma Basic then doubled the lead for Venice in the 42nd minute, leaving Brest trailing 2-1.
Despite being behind, Brest managed to mount a comeback, with Ludovic Ajorque scoring the equalising goal in the 88th minute to rescue a point for his team. This result leaves Brest with a mixed pre-season record, having also drawn with Guingamp and Concarneau, won against Saint-Brieuc, and lost to Al-Wakrah. Their final pre-season friendly match is against Nottingham Forest before the start of the Ligue 1 season.
