Nico Gonzalez, a 28-year-old Argentine, returned to Turin after Atletico Madrid opted against making his loan move permanent. He has since resumed individual training at Juventus' Continassa base on 13 August. However, his exclusion from the club's presentation of fringe players at the Allianz Stadium last weekend suggests he is not part of Igor Tudor's plans.

Gonzalez shares 42 appearances for Fiorentina and Juventus combined with Vlahovic, and enjoyed some of his best form under Vincenzo Italiano at Fiorentina, scoring 25 goals and adding 14 assists in 86 appearances. Italiano is now managing Besiktas, which could make a reunion between the two a possibility.

Besiktas are reportedly ready to table a loan offer with an option to buy, according to Sky Sport. However, Juventus would prefer an outright sale and are open to hearing proposals given Gonzalez's lack of involvement in the club's plans for the coming season. Napoli and Milan have also been credited with interest in the 28-year-old this summer.
