The BBC has announced that it will broadcast 38 Serie A games in the 2026/27 season. The first match to air on BBC Alba and iPlayer this season is Atalanta vs. Sassuolo on Sunday at 19.45 UK time. The BBC's coverage will include 19 additional fixtures broadcast live on the BBC iPlayer, in addition to the 19 games already being shown on BBC Alba with a mix of English and Gaelic commentary.
England internationals Djed Spence and John Stones have joined Inter, with Curtis Jones expected to follow later this week. Other notable British and Irish players in Serie A include Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour at Napoli, Kieron Bowie and Josh Doig for Sassuolo, Lewis Ferguson with Bologna, Harry Winks with Cagliari, Ruben Loftus-Cheek with Milan, Che Adams with Torino, and Lennon Miller with Udinese.
