The Athletic Club's director of football, Mikel González, has been clear about the team's expectations and the importance of results in the current campaign. "We come from a bad year and we know what we're playing for. Football is about results and without them, no project can be sustained. We need to be competitive," he stated from the Camp Nou pitch.
González also highlighted the difficulty of the Camp Nou as the most challenging scenario in La Liga, praising Terzic's bravery and his ability to like what he sees. "Terzic is valiant and it's because he likes what he sees. We're from Lezama and seeing the debuts of the players is always a special feeling," he added.
The Athletic Club will look to secure their first points of the season at the Camp Nou, having lost to Sevilla last weekend. They will then face Celta in Vigo before welcoming Atlético Madrid on September 5.
