A report by The Guardian Football states that Madjo, signed from Metz in January for £10m, was at the centre of a dispute between Villa and Fifa over whether he qualified as a home purchase or an international transfer. Born in London, Madjo's eligibility was in question, but the court of arbitration for sport has now ruled in his favour.
