Suzuki's move to the Midlands comes as Villa look to replace Emiliano Martinez, who has told the club that he wants to leave and join Juventus. Martinez has spent six years at Villa and has been a key player for the team, but it seems that his time at the club is coming to an end. Juventus have made an £8.5m package offer to sign Martinez from Aston Villa this summer, and it's understood that Villa want the full amount up front.
Suzuki, who was born in the USA but grew up in Japan, has played 57 times in Serie A for Parma and has starred for Japan at the World Cup, starting all four of their games in North America. He began his professional career with J1 League club Urawa Red Diamonds and has also played for Sint-Truiden on loan. Suzuki is 6'3" tall and has played 59 games in Italy and 28 matches for Japan.
