Neither Martinelli nor Jesus has been called up for Arsenal's Premier League opener against Coventry City, suggesting that their futures at the club are uncertain. Inter and Napoli must now find a way to free up space in their squads to sign the two attackers. Inter are reportedly interested in Martinelli, but must increase their budget by selling Luis Henrique and potentially Ange-Yoan Bonny. The latter is valued at €40m by Inter, and such a sale would allow them to buy Martinelli.

Napoli, on the other hand, must sell either Noa Lang or Lorenzo Lucca to sign Jesus. The latter has attracted interest from Trabzonspor, but Napoli are still waiting for an official bid. Meanwhile, both Napoli and Inter have also shown interest in Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, who is on Juventus' agenda.
