Ajax has qualified for the Conference League play-off round after beating FK Vojvodina and Shelbourne. However, matches in the Conference League's qualifying rounds are not included in the standard European TV packages purchased by Dutch broadcasters. As a result, the home team in each match, including FC Sion, has the right to sell the broadcasting rights.

Ziggo Sport, which normally broadcasts Ajax's European matches, has announced that it will not show the match between FC Sion and Ajax. Instead, streaming service KIJK has acquired the rights to broadcast the match, which will be available as a pay-per-view event. Fans can purchase the match for €4.99 and watch it on their laptop, tablet, smartphone, or smart TV.

The livestream will open at 20:00, with the match starting 15 minutes later at 20:15. The commentary for the match will be provided by Johan van Polanen. To purchase the match, fans will need to create a KIJK account, which is free and does not require a separate subscription to the service. The match will be available worldwide, except in Switzerland.

Ajax's return match against FC Sion will be broadcast on Ziggo Sport, as usual.
