Ajax's interest in signing Tetê for their Jong Ajax youth team has been met with resistance from São Paulo, who are only open to selling the 19-year-old attacker outright. The Brazilian club's stance has put technical director Jordi Cruijff and his team in a difficult position, as they had been exploring a loan deal with an option to buy. Tetê has already made seven appearances for São Paulo's first team and is valued at €1 million by Transfermarkt. His last appearance for the club was on June 1, when he came on as a substitute in a match against Remo. São Paulo is reportedly asking for €8 million for 80% of Tetê's transfer rights.
