SS Lazio will take over the full salary of 2.5 million euro of Josip Sutalo from Ajax, with the Italian club also paying a half million euro in a loan fee to Ajax. The loan deal is set to last for one season, with Sutalo joining Lazio on a temporary basis. Lazio has an option to buy Josip Sutalo for 7.5 million euro, which can increase to a value between 12 and 15 million euro through bonuses.
Josip Sutalo is still under contract with Ajax until the summer of 2028, but the Croatian player was already allowed to leave the club this summer. The loan deal marks a new chapter in Sutalo's career, with the player joining Lazio on a temporary basis. Ajax will also benefit from a 10% sell-on clause if Lazio decides to sell Sutalo in the future.
The loan deal is now official, with Ajax and Lazio having finalised the paperwork.
