Atalanta had previously been involved in the race for Lang, but it now seems they have found an alternative in Rowe. The Italian club is reportedly in intense contact with Bologna, Rowe's current employer, about a potential transfer. Since Rowe is also a left winger, this could mean that Atalanta's interest in Lang has cooled down. VoetbalPrimeur reports that Atalanta sees Rowe as a priority to strengthen their wing position.
Rowe is contracted to Bologna until mid-2029 and has a market value of €28 million, according to Transfermarkt. The 23-year-old has played 43 games for Bologna, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. Bologna paid €17 million to Olympique Marseille for Rowe's services last summer. Rowe previously played for Norwich City, where he also completed his youth development.
With Atalanta now focused on Rowe, Ajax and Galatasaray may have to compete with each other to sign Lang, who is also being courted by the Turkish club.
