Ajax is counting on finalising the transfer of Viktor Tsygankov this week, according to De Telegraaf. The Amsterdam club has already reached a basic agreement with Girona FC. It is intended that the Ukrainian international will sign in the Johan Cruijff Arena this week. Both a three-year and a four-year contract are possibilities, but according to De Telegraaf, both parties prefer a three-year deal. Coach Míchel Sánchez hopes to include Tsygankov in the squad for the match against PSV. It is not ruled out that Tsygankov will be eligible to play when Ajax visits Telstar next Sunday, although De Telegraaf describes this as a 'very open question'.
